Jud Wooddy is an attorney practicing in Hawaii, South Carolina and the District of Columbia. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina in 1995. Mr. Wooddy was in private practice in the Charleston area for 13 years and practiced in the areas of Business, Business Litigation, Mergers & Acquisitions, Real Estate Development, and Property Related Litigation. Following private practice, Jud took the position of General Counsel at an international manufacturing company which was headquartered in Charleston, but which had 3000 employees situated throughout the world. During his tenure at MVP Group International, Inc., he successfully defended hundreds of product defect, general liability and intellectual property related claims around the United States. Ultimately, Mr. Wooddy retired from this company in 2015 as Division President. Mr. Wooddy holds the position of Of Counsel at Morris, Sullivan & Lemkul’s Hawaii Office. Mr. Wooddy currently resides in Hawaii where he practices in Morris, Sullivan and Lemkul’s business, business litigation and general litigation divisions.
Mr. Wooddy is a Member of the Hawaii State Bar Association, South Carolina Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, the Charleston County Bar, and is admitted to practice in the Federal District Court for Hawaii, South Carolina, the District of Columbia, and the Circuit Court for the 4th Circuit and Federal Circuit. Jud spends his free time playing competitive golf and holds a commercial pilot’s license.
